<p>The Velomitor XA (eXtended Application) Sensor is a ruggedized version of Bently Nevada&#8217;s 330500 Velomitor Sensor. Its 316L stainless steel case and unique, weatherproof connector and cable assembly permit mounting without a housing. The Velomitor XA Sensor cable assembly is suitable for use in moist environments, and the Velomitor XA Sensor design meets the requirements of IP-65 and NEMA 4X dust ratings when properly installed with a mating extension cable.</p>



<p>If you are measuring a machine housing to determine where to install transducers, consider what kinds of data you need to obtain. Most common machine malfunctions (imbalance, misalignment, and so forth) originate at the rotor and cause a change in rotor vibration. The location you select on the housing must accurately conduct rotor vibration to the transducer. Install the transducer carefully. If you don&#8217;t, the transducer may not accurately detect vibrations and can transmit invalid data. Bently Nevada provides engineering services to accurately measure machine housings and to install transducers.</p>

<p>The Bently Nevada 330980 Proximity Sensor incorporates numerous improvements over previous designs. Its physical packaging allows you to use it in high-density DIN-rail installations. You can also mount the sensor in a traditional panel mount configuration, where it shares an identical 4-hole mounting &#8220;footprint&#8221; with older Proximitor Sensor designs. The mounting base for either option provides electrical isolation and eliminates the need for separate isolator plates. The 3300 XL NSV (narrow side view) Proximitor Sensor is highly immune to radio frequency interference, allowing you to install it in fiberglass housings without adverse effects from nearby radio frequency signals. The 3300 XL NSV Proximitor Sensor&#8217;s improved RFI/EMI immunity satisfies European CE mark approvals without requiring special shielded conduit or metallic housings, resulting in lower installation costs and complexity.</p>



<p>The three parts of the system must have consistent electrical lengths. The electrical length of the Proximitor probe plus the electrical length of the extension cable must equal the electrical length of the Proximitor.</p>

<p>The Bently Nevada 990 Vibration Transmitter is intended primarily for the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of centrifugal air compressors or small pumps, motors, or fans who prefer to provide a simple 4 to 20 mA proportional vibration signal as the input to their machinery control system.</p>



<p>The 990 vibration transmitter is a 2-wire, loop-powered device that accepts input from Bently Nevada&#8217;s 3300 NSv proximity probes and a matching extension cable (available in 5 m and 7 m system length options). The transmitter conditions the signal into appropriate peak-to-peak vibration amplitude engineering units, and provides this value as a proportional 4 to 20 mA industry-standard signal as the input to the control system where machinery protection alarming and logic occurs.</p>

<p>The <strong>Bently Nevada 330500 Velomitor </strong>measures absolute (relative to free space) bearing housing, casing, or structural vibration.
